/Farming News Articles/ - TENNESSEE, November 12, 2005 - The International Horse Fund US Equestrian Society, a new national non-profit horse protection organization, has been formed in Tennessee to promote the welfare and protection of all equine animals. The US Equestrian Society will work on any issue which will benefit the horse, but is especially dedicated to ending horse slaughter, supporting rescues and sanctuaries, and promoting responsible horse stewardship through education. The US Equestrian Society has already established a large database of volunteers. Jaye Sullivan, USES Director sums up their group this way: "We are a community of concerned individuals from all walks of life who Understand, respect and appreciate the unique character and contribution of the horse, and are Committed to doing whatever we can to protect them."
