Connie Copenhaver Named an Honored Member of Cambridge Who's Who
Raised on the expansive grounds of Shooting Star, her family's ranch, Ms. Copenhaver has worked in cattle ranching in a variety of capacities, from horse training to managing, over the course of 30 years.
/Farming News Articles/ - Chinook, MT, April 9, 2008, Connie L. Copenhaver, Managing Partner of Shooting Star Limited Partnership, will be included as an honored member in the 2008-2009 edition of the Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry for excellence in cattle ranching.
Raised on the expansive grounds of Shooting Star, her family's ranch, Ms. Copenhaver has worked in cattle ranching in a variety of capacities, from horse training to managing, over the course of 30 years. Now the managing partner, she is in charge of managing agricultural ranch duties including handling horses and cattle, overseeing farming and rotation of pastures, and performing administrative tasks that include selling cattle for the beef industry, supervising the stabling of horses and maintaining accounts and billing. She specializes in breeding, training and boarding horses, especially quarter horses, for roping and riding, and matching them with people who need them and will love them. She is proud of the quality of all-natural beef that the ranch produces year after year, and considers keeping the family business and maintaining operations as a small farm owner—mounting costs notwithstanding—to be the most gratifying aspect of her career. She looks forward to bringing her children to work on the farm as well, and intends to keep the land in the family and to continue running a clean and wholesome business for the next generation.
Ms. Copenhaver holds a certification from the National Beef Quality Assurance program, and is affiliated with the Montana Stock Growers Association and the North Central Montana Stock Growers Association. She counts the Special Olympics, the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the 4-H Club of Chinook to be among her favorite charities. An authority on reining horse training, Ms. Copenhaver is available to speak with the media, and may be contacted through email at barmc@mtintouch.net.
