With over 10 years of experience in the farming industry, Mrs. Heger excels in accounting and is responsible for bookkeeping, documenting data, managing accounts receivable and payable, and overseeing all indoor works. In addition, she works out in the fields during summer and sells Uppercase Living home accents. Aside from assisting with her family farm, Mrs. Heger, a specialist in rural education, has taught students with mental disabilities and behavioral disorders and currently serves as the Elementary Principal at Turtle Lake-Mercer Public School District. She feels that serving in the education field gives her the flexibility to help others through education and work with her husband on the farm during summer. She received the Best Maintained Wildlife Planting Award from the South McLean County Soil Conservation District in 2008 and the Best Maintained Tree Row Award from South McLean County in 2006. Her ability to embrace changes and challenges is the key to her success.

Mrs. Heger received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Concordia College and is pursuing her Master's Degree in Elementary and Secondary Administration at the University of Mary. She is a member of the North Dakota Farm Bureau, the National Association of Elementary School Principals and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. In her spare time, she volunteers for local schools, charitable organizations and her local church. Mrs. Heger aspires to work as a principal, make changes that will lead the school toward long-term success with staff, students and all stakeholders, and mentor others.
