N.C. Research Campus Farmers Market Grows Public Educational Offerings for 2009
N.C. Cooperative Extension present free, open to public events each Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Research Campus Farmers Market in Kannapolis
KANNAPOLIS, NC, May 14, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Visitors to this year's N.C. Research Campus Farmers Market can learn what Cabarrus County is doing to grow more farmers, celebrate a major milestone with one of the world's largest youth organizations and take home delicious and nutritious recipes from The Produce Lady, Brenda Sutton of N.C. Cooperative Extension in Rockingham County, who appears on UNC-TV's Almanac Gardener.
N.C. Cooperative Extension staff from Cabarrus and Rowan counties will present fun-to-learn educational opportunities at the Farmers Market. The events take place at the Farmers Market on Thursday evenings from 4 to 7 p.m. on West Avenue in Kannapolis. Events are scheduled throughout the 2009 Farmers Market, with the season ending on October 29.

What's an Incubator Farm?
- David Goforth and Carl Pless, N.C. Cooperative Extension in Cabarrus County, will share details about the Elma C. Lomax Incubator Farm in Concord, a partnership with the county and N.C. Cooperative Extension.
