From Cows to Kilowatts - SKY Renewable Energy Has A Green Thumb
SKY Renewable Energy helps agricultural operations produce power and reduce pollutants while producing another useable byproduct, animal bedding.

SURPRISE, AZ, October 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- SKY Renewable Energy's Biofuel Project Manager Jess Gillum is down on the farm in Arizona offering anaerobic digesters that decrease electric costs, addresses methane release problems and result in a viable animal bedding product that can be used or sold.

Surface and groundwater contamination, as well as, air pollution are caused by odors, dust, methane and ammonia from animal waste and liquid run-off from agricultural operations. These byproducts can be directed into an anaerobic digester system where they can be bio-digested to generate electricity.

Sealed anaerobic digesters trap biogas, containing 60-80 percent of methane, which is pulled from the digester by a gas pump or blower to produce energy.

Whether it is horse stables, cattle barns or dairy farms, SKY Renewable Energy helps agricultural operations produce power non-stop on a 24/7, 365 days a year; reduce pollutants from going into the air and into the soils while producing another useable byproduct - animal bedding that can be used by the client or sold.

SKY Renewable Energy conducts initial reviews of an agricultural operation and does a cost analysis to ensure that this process is a viable option for the client. SKY Renewable Energy then engineers and constructs the equipment while SKY Renewable Energy's Project Manager Jess Gillum assists the owner with the initial interconnection with the utility company and the commissioning of the system with county and utility inspectors.

Currently SKY Renewable Energy is researching state, USDA, and federal government renewable credits for three clients in Arizona to help these agricultural clients go green. These monies, along with utility rebates assist SKY Renewable Energy clients in having the opportunity to be reimbursed for up to 75 percent of their initial investment.
