COPELAND, KS, March 18, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Jarvis Garetson, Partner of Garetson Brothers, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in agriculture.

Garetson Brothers is a family-owned business that was established in 1902. Today, Jarvis Garetson along with his father, mother and brother run the farm, which produces corn, wheat, cotton, sorghum and soybeans. A true hands-on individual, Jarvis Garetson oversees the irrigation and nutrition management of the crops as well as all scheduling and harvesting tasks. He is known for his ability to maintain and foster successful business relationships.

In order to keep up-to-date and ensure that the farm is run as productively as possible, Jarvis initiated the use of GPS technology to create detailed maps of areas of need, track basic farm activities, and automatically activate irrigation and fertilizer dispenser systems. He is an active member of the Kansas Farm Bureau and the Southwest Kansas Irrigation Association. Jarvis Garetson earned his bachelor of science at Kansas State University in 1995.

In 2008, Jarvis was chosen as Cambridge Publishing's Professional of the Year in Agriculture. In 2009, he was featured in the organization's publication entitled "Top 101 Industry Experts." Both honors are reserved for individuals demonstrating professional excellence and personal integrity.
