Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey is hosting an Animal Care Seminar for Hillsborough County FFA (Future Farmers of America) high school students on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 9:30 a.m.

LUTZ, FL, November 30, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey is hosting an Animal Care Seminar for Hillsborough County FFA (Future Farmers of America) high school students on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 9:30 a.m. at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 Highway 301 North, Tampa, FL 33610. FFA students will have the opportunity to get close and personal with the animals as part of the seminar hosted by Ringling Bros. Animal Care experts.

The Animal Care Seminar is a live, one hour demonstration given by members of the Animal Care staff who will explain daily care, diet and exercise of The Greatest Show On Earth animals. They will also discuss how the animals travel with the show. The staff members will explain the training and food-reward process, as well as any animal-specific training tools such as halters, leashes, crops, ankus, and guides used to train animals. Animals will include exotics, horses, llamas, donkeys, elephants, and more.
